Family Nurse Practitioner
MaryLynn Gonsalves brings broad experiences and exceptional skills to the primary care team, serving as a nurse practitioner with CHI Health Care. She fully utilizes her deep medical knowledge and diverse background in many areas of health and wellness to offer highly effective and holistic treatment and health education for patients. Committed to developing a trusting relationship with her patients, Ms. Gonsalves engages them in conversations that lead to balanced, healthy lifestyles.
Ms. Gonsalves’ educational accomplishments include a graduate degree in public health. Her initial love for health care and health education stemmed from her experience in the Peace Corps where she served as a health educator in Papua New Guinea. She continued her international work when she lived in Cambodia for two years and worked with World Education as a health educator and trainer to educators.
Drawn to nursing as a way to impact the health of individuals of all ages, Ms. Gonsalves achieved a second graduate degree and became a family nurse practitioner. She has practiced as a primary care provider at clinics throughout the US and has enjoyed working with patients from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds.
At CHI, Ms. Gonsalves is able to practice to the full extent of her scope in a way that aligns with her personal values. Being part of a multidisciplinary team of providers, both medical and integrative, enables her to provide a wide range of treatment options for her patients. She has the time to truly connect with each patient, can hear their concerns, and then create a treatment plan that is personalized and holistic.
