Integrative Primary Care Physician

Nicole Farmer, MD, is a board certified physician in Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine.  She has completed fellowship training in Integrative Medicine at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine under the direction of Dr. Andrew Weil. Dr. Farmer was a Fellow in the Duke University Integrative Medicine Leadership Program.

Dr. Farmer received her Bachelors of Science in Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Maryland at College Park. As a former research fellow at the National Institutes of Health, she worked on clinical research concerning the health burdens of diabetes and heart disease. Dr. Farmer is a graduate of Howard University College of Medicine where she was a recipient of a prestigious research scholarship from NovoNordisk. After graduation, she returned to her native Philadelphia for residency training in internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Farmer previously held a coveted faculty position in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She is a Diplomate and Member of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine.

She has authored and contributed to several scientific articles and is a certified holistic health coach having completed training in nutrition and health coaching through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Through this training, she developed and refined her love for cooking and giving cooking demonstrations. Dr. Farmer has since undergone culinary training through conferences at the Culinary Institute of America and is an ongoing student of the acclaimed vegan chef and PBS television personality, Christina Perillo. She is a student of the Rouxbe Cooking School Professional Cook Certification Program.

Dr. Farmer’s practice is dedicated to a patient focused clinical approach and to the therapeutic use of whole foods and nutrition for wellness and disease prevention.

When not at work, she enjoys cooking for family and friends, yoga, reading and spending time with her loving husband and two children.

Our Primary Care fees range based on the complexity of care provided. In an effort to assist our patients with knowledge about their health care cost in advance, we have disclosed our fees below. If you are insured and we are listed in your insurance network, we will accept their allowable reimbursement. You will be responsible for any copay, coinsurance, deductible or non-covered service in accordance with our contract with your insurance plan. If you are a self-pay patient, you may be eligible for one of our payment options previously mentioned. Please note, the following fees are for office visits only, therefore other charges (labs, immunizations, etc.) may apply. Please contact our office for more information.

  • New Patient visit $120-$320
  • Established Patient visit $70-$225
  • Preventive Medicine $200-$300
  • Prolonged Services may add an additional cost to your visit of up to $160
